Some ASIC fees changed from today following CPI indexation. Business.gov.au reports that business name registration or renewal has increased from $45 to $47 for one year and from $104 to $108 for three years. Company registration and annual review fees have also increased. ASIC has also launched a new public beta company search service alongside ASIC Connect.

Why it matters: The fee increases are modest but relevant for incorporations, renewals and annual reviews. The new search beta may also help businesses check company details for customers, suppliers and partners.

Who is affected: Company officeholders, business name holders, accountants, bookkeepers and service providers.
