The ATO’s small business newsroom says fuel tax credit rates changed again from 3 August 2026. It also notes the final quarterly super payment was due on 28 July. Businesses using fuel in heavy vehicles, machinery, plant, agriculture or off-road operations should check the updated rates before lodging claims.

Why it matters: Fuel tax credit errors can affect BAS claims and cash flow. Late or missed super payments can also create compliance issues.

Who is affected: Transport, construction, agriculture, mining services, landscaping, trades, logistics and any employer with quarterly super obligations.
