Small to medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organisations are being encouraged to have their say on the cyber security challenges they face and the support they need.

Cyber security is an increasing challenge for small businesses, with cyber incidents having the potential to disrupt operations, create financial losses and compromise business and customer information.

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Cyber Security for Small to Medium Sized Businesses and Organisations is seeking feedback directly from businesses and not-for-profit organisations about the cyber security challenges they face, the barriers to better protecting their organisations, and the support that could make a practical difference.

Why your voice matters

Small businesses and not-for-profit organisations often have limited time, resources and access to specialist cyber security expertise.

That’s why it’s important that future policies, programs and resources are practical, accessible and reflect the realities faced by smaller organisations.

The Small Business Network encourages eligible businesses and not-for-profit organisations to participate in the survey. We also encourage business advisers, chambers, industry associations and other stakeholders who support small businesses to share the survey across their networks and help increase participation.

Greater participation will help provide a clearer picture of the cyber security challenges facing small businesses and organisations, and of the support they need to better protect themselves.

Have your say

If you operate a small to medium-sized business or not-for-profit organisation, this is an opportunity to share your experience and help inform the Committee’s work and the Parliament’s consideration of future cyber security support.

Complete the survey and help ensure the experiences of small businesses and not-for-profit organisations are heard: Link
