Summary: Regional Development Australia Southern NSW and ACT has opened its Thrive Regional Pulse Survey, seeking input from people who live, work, volunteer, invest or participate in communities across Southern NSW and the ACT. The survey is designed to capture local insights on regional conditions, priorities, opportunities and challenges, with optional sections including topics such as transport and logistics. RDASNA says responses will help build regional intelligence and support future planning, collaboration and decision-making.
Why it matters: For small businesses, the survey is a chance to put practical issues such as workforce shortages, housing pressure, transport links, digital connectivity, investment barriers, customer demand and local business support needs into the evidence base used for future regional advocacy and reports. Previous RDASNA engagement identified housing, transport, digital connectivity and workforce shortages as major barriers affecting business growth and regional development.
Who is affected: Small businesses, employers, sole traders, industry groups, investors, councils and community organisations across the ACT and Southern NSW.
Timing: Survey promoted in late June and July 2026. Businesses should complete it while the consultation window is open.
